Nice piece of winter Keith! Very cozy and inviting! With all this winter practice... maybe I can coax you over here for some our "deep" winter painting.
However... from the looks of your subjects at the moment... "You" are already immersed in "deep" winter!
Oh Keith - it's beautiful. I do think this winter suits your style. The shadows are just wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Yes I suppose it does suit me. I like blues and browns and that's really all there is in these landscapes.

These last two snow paintings of yours have been fabulous.
ReplyDeleteLove the snow paintings Keith. Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI imagine the winter here has still been tame compared with yours Bruce.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kevin. I see you have been enjoying some white landscapes there too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Steven.
ReplyDeleteHi Keith
ReplyDeleteThis is very good, very atmospheric. How did you do the smoke from the chimney, did you lift it out or mask it?
Keith..stumbled onto your blog and wanted to say nice work. wishing you continued happy painting.
ReplyDeleteHi Julie. Thanks for looking in.
ReplyDeleteHello Stuart. Yes the atmosphere was wonderful. I lifted the smoke out, which was easy to do because the sky was just Ultramarine and Burnt Sienna.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been around for awhile and then I stumbled over this painting and it really is lovely. Thank you, Keith.
ReplyDeleteHello Diane, nice to have you back.
